Featuring Guest Speakers Nick Munoz - Williams Vice President of Power Innovation Operations and Tara Meek - Williams Permitting Manager for Power Innovation
Nickolaus E. Muñoz - VP Power Innovation Operations, Transmission, Power & Gulf
Nick has 20 years of diverse experience in the energy industry. He began his career with Williams as a technician at the Milagro Cogeneration facility in 2007. Since then, he has served in roles of increasing responsibility including Supervisor of Operations Ignacio Gas Processing Plant, Supervisor of Engineering Appalachian Basin Area, Manager of Technical Services Ohio Valley Midstream, and Sr. Manager of Operations Ohio River Supply Hub. Recently he has served as Director of Technical Services for Gathering and Processing where he led all engineering and technical support disciplines for that business nationwide, and Director of Operations Ohio River Supply Hub where he led all pipeline and compressor station operations in West Virginia and Ohio as well as regulated NGL Transportation operations. He has significant experience in leading teams in the commissioning, start-up and operation of major energy infrastructure assets. Most recently, he stood up and continues to expand Williams commissioning and operations teams in support of behind-the-meter data center power projects.
Nick earned his associate’s degree in Instrumentation and Controls Technology from San Juan College, his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Texas A&M University and his master’s degree in Business Administration and Management with Finance Specialization from Louisiana State University - Shreveport.
Mr. Munoz currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia as Chair of that organization’s Investment Committee.
Tara Meek - Permitting Manager for Power Innovation
Tara Meek is the Permitting Manager for Power Innovation at Williams Companies, Inc., where she has served in a variety of roles since 2014. In her current position, she leads a Permitting team responsible for supporting power generation projects, directing engaging with regulatory agencies, and establishing effective pathways for environmental permitting and compliance. Her work focuses on aligning project development with regulatory requirements while advancing responsible environmental stewardship.
Tara began her career in the oil and gas industry in 2004 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology from West Virginia University. She continued her academic and professional development at WVU while working with the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey (WVGES), where she earned a Master of Science with dual specializations in hydrogeology and environmental microbiology.
Tara is Past President of Appalachian Pipeliners Association (APA) and currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors as Secretary.
